2010 ENTERTAINMENT Below:

Ken Armfield’s Burning Hot Lava!!! will be providing the Aerial and Fire Dancers at the 6th Avenue Performance Area from 6:00 - 9:00 PM.  At 8:00 PM the Street Dance will begin!  Burning Hot Lava and L’Ru Studios team up again this year to further warm and raise spirits at the Festival on Main.  High above the intersection of 6th and Main, performers from L’Ru Studios will perform breath-taking beautiful aerial dance on trapeze and fabric at various times between 6:00 and 8:00 PM.  Then, from 8:00 to 9:00 PM the intersection of 6th and Main will transform into a rocking, thumping dance club, with 5 fire dancers spinning non-stop on-stage, a video projectionist shooting computer-enhanced images of the performers and the crowd upon a screen suspended above the dance floor, and gift certificates and coupons being given to festival-goers who are out dancing.  For more info, bookings, or instruction contact .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or http://www.LruStudios.com.  For more information on Burning Hot Lava!!! please see Ken’s website at http://www.burninghotlava.com.

Come see the Nationally acclaimed Starbound Dancers take the stage as Dance Dimensions presents three shows at 6:30, 7:30 and 8:30 pm.  Dancers from Dance Dimensions ages 4 through adults will perform in front of the studio, located at 638 Main St.  The featured Starbound Dancers recently attended and competed at the Hollywood Connection Convention in Anaheim, CA last month.  It was a week of rehearsal, classes and competition ending with an awards banquet.  The dancers brought home two prestigious overall national titles:  the highly coveted Technical Award for excellence of skill and technique for “Ain’t Nothin’ Wrong with That”, a tap number choreography by Tiffany Leise Taskey and the Sportsmanship - Spirit award for Excellence of Spirit.

Tim Barth from Vance Brand Municipal Airport is bringing three airplanes onto 4th Avenue between Main and Kimbark Streets.  This will include a Kitfox Model IV Speedster built, owned and piloted by Stan Specht of Lakewood, CO.  Since August of 2001 Stan has landed this plane in 49 states.  Stop by and ask Stan when he is going to land in Hawaii!

Face to Face’s Gina Patterson is providing the Face Painters Row in front of Dairy Queen on the 600 Block of Main Street.

Longmont Idol’s second week of competition is presented by the City of Longmont Youth Services on the 300 Block of Main Street from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.

Airborne Gymnastics and Dance will be performing on the 300 Block of Main Street from 8:00 PM - 9:00 PM.

Street performers will be provided by Borillo Entertainment.

Bill Coleman’s Stilt Puppet, Rainbow Bubble Tower and Coloring Mural will be entertaining all on the 500 Block of Main Street.

Airbound provides: Bungee Trampoline, Giant Slide, Mini Train Ride, Climbing Wall and an Obstacle Course.

Boulder Kinetics is providing their Kinetic Crafts on the 600 Block of Main Street.

Front Range Inflatables will also provide a bounce house on the 400 Block of Main Street.

Top of the Rockies Corvette Club will be hosting a car show on 4th Avenue between Main and Coffman Streets.

Hix & Chicks will be square dancing from 7:00 - 7:45 PM at the performance area near 6th Avenue and Main Street.

The Twin Peaks Fiddlers  will be performing American Fiddle Tunes, Irish Fiddle Tunes, and Classical pieces on the 400 Block of Main Street between 6:00 - 7:00 PM.
